Cheers 🥂. It has been my experience that we call a lot of things love that are not love. If one decides that they don't have room in their life for anything that isn't love, they will most likely walk alone in this world.
Hmm have you read “Man without Woman” by Murakami? - it’s a collection of short stories - and I keep re-reading this one where the person’s soul simply leaves out of his body after a breakup. This article reminds me so much of that piece :)
I haven't read anything by Murakami except his book on writing. I often see these books in the bookshop on a specialized shelf, but I don't really know where to start.
Haha a story in that book came up to my mind after this conversation. I think you will find yourself in that story, would you mind checking back to me after you read the book? I’d like to bet against my intuition 😉
It’s better to have love and lost, than never to have loved at all.
But is it? Yes, feeling love, being loved is something we (hopefully) all experience, but when the pain is too much to bear - a life ripped too soon, infidelity... it is premature death Tennyson writes of in his poem, loss of his dear friend (ambiguous) Arthur Henry Hallam at the age of 21... I must say that many a poem I have written has been dedicated to my closest friend who died at the age of 30. And yes, it was better to have loved her than to never have had her friendship, I am a better person for it. In meeting her at age 5, to her death (and beyond), through her wonderful daughter, I am decidedly ‘better’ for having loved her xx
I'm sorry for your loss and for the first question. I don't know. Sometimes, i'm thinkin that Ignorance is bliss. Once you lose your innocence, a part of you is shattered into oblivion. But it's life i guess.
Good morning Viam, thanks for the asking. I am doing great! Interesting how as soon as I have posted my article yesterday on Medium ( Valentines Day: The Day of the Heart. How extravagant are we?), I have spotted yours immediately. I just had to read what you had to say on the shadowy side of the matters of the Heart. It had really stirred me up for you have covered angles I have not mentioned. Once I read through your well composed and packed with heartfelt meaning article, I felt yours in a way completed mine, even though the two are completely different in every way. I can only thank you for having dug deep to deal with the shadows and the pain that lurks therein. It must have spoken volumes to some of your readers who had gone through hell through broken relationships. Well done my friend. Keep shining❤️🌞⭐️🕊️🌈😇🎇

I hope you will meet people who show you how simple and gentle love actually is - just two people enjoying each other’s company :)

What would be your recommendation?
My only two fave ones are Men without Women and What I talk about when I talk about running.
Thanks, I'll check it out at the library. I'll let you know when I've read it. Thanks again, it's really appreciated.
Men without Women sounds intriguing.

Hope it won't break my heart a second time lol
I'll check it Saturday. I'll order it if they don't have the book. I don't like to read online. I need the physical version.
And i'll definitely let you know
So beautiful. It rocks my heart to have your words resonate so well. And I will purposefully send them back to the world of indifference. Thank you.
Thank you Teyani!
This is such a great piece Viam!
I didn’t know I still had leftovers of bitterness until I read your lines. Welp, thanks for validating my feelings.
Thank you Priscilla! Take care
