Ridicule doesn't kill
Ridicule doesn't kill.
No matter what our skill level, taking on a new task is difficult.
We wonder :
- what are we going to look like?
- Can we do it?
- I'm going to look fucking ridiculous
We feel fear and shame.
Recently, I reread some of my first tweets and damn, I was ashamed...
Even if I liked some of them, so many were so lame.
And then I thought, did it kill me to write them?
No. I've learned a lot since then.
Improved my English.
Learned the basics of copywriting.
My overall skill level is much higher.
In my main business, same.
My first home made photoshoot was a straight disaster but … i took some risk and got better photoshoot after photoshoot.
Don't be afraid of being ridiculous because the hardest part is getting started.
Once you get going, that thing that seems so scary... was just a straw man after all.
And if I've learned anything, it's that the really good ideas, the one who can make you successfull only appear once you're actually in motion.
It never happens when you are sitting on the bench because you are too focus to look at the game.
Stop being afraid.
Check to see if your balls are still there and if you can find them: do what you want to do.
