Become AI resilient
It's a matter of survival
After this year 2020, the world was busy licking these wounds. Since then, systemic problems have arisen from this first period of great global stress:
Economic crises, energy crises, climate crises, logistics problems, supply crises... the problems are piling up one on top of the other and may be masking one of the greatest threats to mankind: the rise of AI.
I would not teach you anything by telling you that massive robotization will threaten millions of jobs in the years to come. Even my job as a writer could become obsolete if AIs become much better than us. Aided by algorithms of all kinds, they could manage to create the exact content that will resonate with a human being in the style he wants.
The exploitation of an incalculable amount of data will give them an unfair advantage that they will be able to exploit as they see fit.
I know some people think "Writers don't get replaced."
Spoiler alert: they already do.
When a company used to need a human to do a product page. Now they can generate optimized text with AI. This is just a small example, but many freelancers can feel that “winter is coming”.
We're not even at year +1 and the massive use of GPT is still growing.
What will these AI look like in 10 years? In 20 years?
These are legitimate questions that need to be asked right now:
"He who wants peace prepares for war"
And he who wants to keep his job prepares his future.
Because the techno-capitalist utopia is at our borders and it’s going to take everything.
Some people think that the governments will take the problems in hand.
If the unemployment rate explodes, then the government will pay its citizens.
This is a perilous situation in which you will have to trust a government to solve your problems.
It rarely works.
And even if the government does. It can't magically create "wealth". Handing out money that doesn't exist will only cause inflation to skyrocket and no doubt a universal income would not be enough.
Some people think that wealth will be better redistributed?
Is it today?
Those who accumulate continue to accumulate.
The gap is widening between the ultra poor and the ultra rich.
A few companies share the wealth and data of the whole world.
Some companies have even amassed war chests that could make some of the world's greatest powers flinch.
If the wealth is going to be better distributed, we don't even see the beginning of a revolution in this redistribution.
What to do?
Write articles about it and cry about the situation to come?
Even if this article looks like a lament, it is far from being one.
In my life, I have always been pragmatic.
Technological changes exist and ... we can't do anything about it.
Since the dawn of mankind, technological changes have created disappearance of people but also transfer of wealth from one group to another.
Those who are at the forefront of innovation are always on the right side of the equation.
And those who thought you could fight guns with swords are no longer here to testify.
GPT may well declare war on some of my activities, I would think of ways to survive.
The idea is to become AI resilient.
I developed a small part of this idea in one of my previous posts.
But what can't AI generate?
Your life.
It's a very vague explanation but your chance of success is hidden deep inside you.
The human being is unique. And yet there are 8,000,000,000 of them.
How to become AI resilient ?
Stacking skills.
Grow your network.
Grow your audience.
Live interesting things to keep accumulating experience.
Your assets are your senses.
Could AI be a food critic?
It could try but it will never be able to.
It can't taste, it can't smell, it can't feel.
All the jobs that provide emotions will be protected.
Humans, submerged by these invasive technologies remain humans. Deep down, they need connection.
Not with an AI but with a person made of flesh, blood and bones.
And those who are able to transmit emotions will have a definite advantage in this world of tomorrow.
Like relics of an ancient era, they will be adored and sought after. In a world dominated by robots, they will be the stars of tomorrow.
They cannot be replaced because they are unique.
To become AI resilient is to cultivate your uniqueness.
Being proud of what makes you: You.
Showing the world why they need you so much.
And once you are AI resilient?
Use AI to serve you rather than to serve you.
Use its virtual assistants and algorithms to distribute your skills on a large scale.
We live in a great time where the world can become your playground.

Awesome post as always brotha 🙏
