There are too many things to share here, but maybe I will leave it for another proper time because I feel that my words are not deep enough to comfort the pain this piece carries.
Not related with this article, but the subtitle of your newsletter is "Philosophy about life", which I liked a lot. In relation to this, we lunched a section about philosophy, maybe can be of your interest:
The truth is the things we care most, we consume energy, time and money to do hurts us most when it doesn't materialised the way we want. They leave wounds that take time to heal unless there is a success that compensates it. Combined with our human nature, we tend to gravitate to where there is pain; we won't forget but only then when we accept failures as part of the journey
definitely have an instinct to help or fix what I see not working and that’s wrong. I am getting better, though, at remembering to fully empathise; to show people in pain that I understand the pain and how horrible it is or that I know I don’t understand it and can’t imagine how horrible it is.
Thank you for sharing this. It’s a new outlook I’m learning but this has nudged me further the right way.
Thank you for your kind words in sharing your friend’s story. I have come to the awareness that some situations will never fall into the category of being understood or reconciled.
I accept it because I don’t think the outcome of those situations is why I am here. This helps a bit.
Great read, Viam.
Perspective is everything.
Helpful and thought provoking, thank you for sharing
